Friendship Link and Action Group
A social group for disabled adults
in the Bedford area
Registered Charity No. 1165681
FLAG Bedford is a user-led social group for adults with a physical or
learning disability and/or sensory impairment, and their friends,
carers and volunteers, who live in the Bedford area.
Members can attend our weekly get-togethers at Priory Methodist
Church, to socialise with other members over a cup of tea or coffee
or join in our various activities.
We also arrange bi-monthly events and outings in venues used by
the wider community.
What is FLAG Bedford
Mission Statement
Our aim is to combat social isolation, boost
confidence and promote independence for
disabled adults in the Bedford area.
We do this by organising a variety of regular
get-togethers and subsidised events for which
we provide transport and support.
We also provide a forum to ensure disabled
access & rights are observed.
FLAG AGM
10th April 2014
5p Challenge.
FLAG JUMBLE SALE.
10am to 12pm.Saturday 17th March 2018.
Priory Methodist Church, Newnham Ave, Bedford.
We had a great response to our secon 5p challenge. It has been
very touching and we cannot express how much it means to
FLAG, the extent members, friends and family have supported
us in these challenges.
The first year we collected a total of £472.35, or 9447 5p’s. This
past year we collected a total of £388.95, or 7779 5p’s. We are
going to continue the challenge this year coming so keep
collecting those 5p’s and thank you.
FLAG now has its very own
Mascot, in the shape of a
bear. There was only one
name we could give him and
that was Jeff.
